Abstract:
The research focuses Human Resource Management in Multinational Corporation, A Study of Mercedes-Benz Anammco. The major objective of the study is, to identify the influence of Local staff recruitment and employment relations on human resource management in multinational corporations, to determine how Parent- subsidiary relationship influences human resource management in Multinational Corporation and to determine the effect of Communication barrier on human resource management of Multinational Corporation. Data were collected through primary and secondary sources. The descriptive survey method was used and the research tool was questionnaire. 245 staffs answered the questionnaire. Frequency percentages and criterion mean score of 2.5 were used in data analysis using Chi-square formula and presentation was done by the use of tables. Yaro Yamani’s Statistical formula was used for the sample size determination of 245 from a total population of 629 respondents. The major findings from the study are: There is evidence to show that Local staff recruitment and employment relations are a factor of influence in human resource management of Multinational Corporation and there is a significant relationship to show that communication barrier affects the human resource management in Multinational Corporation. On the basis of the above findings; the study concludes that that communication is an important determinant of many facets of organizational behaviour in Multinational human resource management. Finally, solutions and recommendations were proffered that communication understanding should be first established by the top management of a Multinational Corporation the first time they come to any new host country.
