A New Approach to Implementing Fault Current Limiting Reactors (CLRS) On Feeders with Negligible Constant Power Losses

Abstract

The deficiency in the use of series current limiting reactors (CLRs) on feeders is discussed in this paper. It also suggests the use of adapters on existing circuit breakers (CBs) to mitigate this problem.
