The Role of Libraries in the Preparation of Youths for Active Participation in Poverty Alleviation Initiatives

Abstract

,This paper highlighted the percentage of Nigerian population that is below the international poverty line. Poverty alleviation programmes, which had existed in the country are itemized. Facets of poverty alleviation progremmes meant for preparing the youths for active participation are highlighted. Contributions of libraries towards preparation of youths for poverty alleviation exercise are identified.
