and developtnent and the examination of the Human Resource training and
developnwnt in the Central Bank of Nigeria.

most valuable resource. It is therefore, imperative that attention continues

areas of the impact of management's policies and programs on staff
performance. Of all the training programs available in the bank, On-
the-job training is most connmonly used while job rotation takes the lead of
the development programs.
Training needs of the bank are determined through staff appraisal,
current anticipated changes. level of turnover, absenteeism and mistakes,
corporate objectives of the bank and new recruitment.
