Abstract:
This research work became necessary due to the need to evaluate the reengineering
on the banking industries with particular reference to first bank of Nigeria plc. This is with a view to highlighting its contribution towards the realization of cooperate objectives. The subject of this study is imperative due to the prevailing stiff competing the banking industry. Thus, banks have to periodically assess its work process to ensure that customer's satisfaction is maximized. Thus, processes that are crux to customers’ satisfaction have to be re-engineered. On the basis of the above issues, related literature was reviewed to ascend other writer’s views concerning re-engineering, of the 102 questionnaires administrated to the staff of first bank plc, 75 questionnaires representing 73.53 were returned. In the same view, interviews were held with some manger so as to obtain reasonable and reliable information for valid conclusion to be drawn. Against this background, valuable and reliable discoveries were made. It was discovered that the operational efficiency of the bank has greatly improve was also discovered that there is now an improved services.
