Abstract:
Every organization is an association of people and materials financed to produce either product or service to satisfy customers. .(Steve Canon 2001).The process of producing something has to review itself from time to time to keep abreast with the latest changes in the system globally. Re-engineering as a study focuses on the productive and service " techniques of an organization. In the process, it tries to fathom bcauses of slack and proffer changes adequate enough to keep the organization highly competitive in the recent trends. This study looked into "Re-engineering: A leeway to economic transformation of the banking industry, A comparative study of First Bank and Union Bank of Nigeria PLC.•IT'S MAJOR OBJECTIVES ARE To:Examine re-engineering results in the two banks Study re-engineering innovations in the two banks UNIVERSITY OF NIGERIA NSUKKA VII I Evaluate whether re-engineering has helped employee labour relations in the two banks under review Investigate how re-engineering has helped in procurement of information technology in the two banks.
