Abstract:
An adaptable space is the flexibility of multiple activities within that space,which can be adjusted easily with minor modification for use in different conditions while satisfying the needs and functions of each activity at reasonably high for youths and artisans that are willing to learn and master a trade in a more lucrative learning environment for skill building. The tradesmen academy will serve as one of levels of performance. Adaptable spaces create a rich and complex environment that allows different interpretations for its users. This research takes a look at the study of adaptability to establish the need for multiple activities without compromising on the original need of the space. This study of adaptability of work spaces will ultimately be culminated into the design of a proposed tradesmen academy in tinapa, calabar, cross river state. A tradesmen academy is a place that provides basic training skills the medium in reviving the tinapa free trade zone which will contribute to the enhancement in the economy of the state.
