Abstract:
The banking industry has a lot of room for growth in terms of opportunities that abound, but the various challenges facing these financial institutions in marketing their products and services makes the industry stiffen and there seems to be no room for growth. In carrying the research, questionnaires were designed for some banks customers and marketing officers and these questionnaires were used as major source of data collection. The research work revealed that the challenges facing marketing of financial products mainly has been banks ability to meet the customers needs and the major tool recognized by customers of banks to create bonding is customer relationship management and quality of services being rendered. Recommendations were then made on how financial products marketing can be improved on and banks knowing what customers define as value and how this can be provided.
