Abstract:
This study examines the role of effective PR practice on gender conflicts resolution in Nigerian organizations. It x-rays and identifies the basic ingredients of Public Relations and goes further to explore and discuss how those components can be effectively harnessed towards enthroning conflict-free organization in Nigeria.
The relevant information from this study come from open literature especially books and journals. Questionnaire were also administered to some, especially enlightened personnels in these organizations whose opinions are considered representative enough to form an objective assessment.
The pilot survey (research method) was used in selecting these organizations (the sample size) which were seen to be fairly representative of such establishments in Enugu State.
Chi-Square (X2) was adopted tin testing and analyzing the results of the findings, in the end, it was revealed that in spite of the odds, an effective application of PR techniques and strategies will impact positively on the conflict, especially, when the causes have been identified and arrested.
The hypothesis testing, further indicates the causes of such conflicts to include imbalance in the positions occupied by the gender (male and female) discrimination of all sorts, use and application of authority by way of intimidation, poor communication, culture, other socio-cultural, religious and political antecedents, etc.
