Abstract:
This study tried to examine the information technology strategy system in the Nigerian Banking Industry. The study/work shows the impact of information Technology in the industry as well as the weakness and strengths that may result from using it. The study was carried out by means of a carefully constructed/ designed questionnaire to elicit data from respondents chosen various Nigerian Banks but particularly Diamond Bank Plc. The findings from the analysed data however reveals that the deployment of information Technology systems creates more competitive strategies to banks as well as provides more business opportunities to banks. Finally, the deployment of "Information Technology facilitates the Human Resources function in terms of speed, available data for planning and manpower forecasting.
